Membership

How do I change the address on my membership? +

The quickest option is to visit your online account, where you can update your physical address, email address and phone number. If you do not have an online account, create one with your membership number. If you need additional assistance, you can also Contact Us, or visit a AAA Store near you.

I’ve married / changed my name. How can I update my account accordingly? +

The quickest option is to log in to your online account and select “Manage Settings,” where you can update the name on your membership. If you do not have an online account, create one with your membership number. If you need additional assistance, you can also Contact Us or visit a AAA Store near you.

I’ve lost my membership card. How do I get a new one? +

The quickest option is to request a replacement membership card and/or print out a temporary card in your online account.  If you do not have an online account, create one with your membership number. If you need additional assistance, you can also Contact Us or visit a AAA Store near you.

I am unable to log into my account (my email / password combination is not working or I saw a “Membership is Expired” message). How can I log in? +

We’re sorry you are having issues logging into your online account. We continuously look for ways to improve the online experience for our members. If you tried the Forgot Password link and were unable to retrieve your account credentials, please call Member Services at (800) 562-2582 for assistance.

How do I add or remove an associate from my account? +

Associate memberships extend AAA Services to any household member residing at the same address or to any children away at school. The quickest way to add an associate member is by logging in to your account and then selecting “Add an Associate” at the top of the page. Associate members are covered for the duration of your membership year and can only be removed during the renewal period. When you complete your renewal online, you are given the option to also renew your associate member(s) for the new membership year.

What benefits does an Associate member receive? +

Associate members get all of the benefits that the Primary member receives at a fraction of the price, an extraordinary value! Benefits include four emergency road service calls a year (towing, flat tire change, fuel delivery, battery jump, lockout services and extrication), free travel planning services and maps, discounts on travel and auto insurance purchased through AAA Washington, and discounts at more than 100,000 businesses. The primary account member or an associate is deceased. How do I remove them from the account? +

How do I opt into or out of auto renew? +

If you are on an annual payment plan, you may opt into or out of auto renew within your online account.  The change will take effect with the start of your next membership year. If you do not have an online account, create one with your membership number. If you need additional assistance, you can also Contact Us, or visit a AAA Store near you

How do I cancel my membership? +

We hate to see you go but understand that there are life changes that call for you to cancel your membership and/or an associate member in your household. Please call our Member Services team at (800) 562-2582, or visit a AAA Store near you.

I’ve moved into or out of Washington / Idaho and need to transfer my AAA membership. How do I do that? +

How can I downgrade my membership level? +

Your current membership tier is active until your membership term expires. If you are looking to downgrade before your renewal period, the change will take effect with your new membership term. Currently, we do not have the capability to downgrade membership levels online, you will need to contact our Member Services team to assist with this request. They can be reached at (800) 562-2582.

Roadside Assistance

What’s the best way to request roadside assistance? +

The fastest way is to use our online request system, which is accessible on your smartphone, laptop, or tablet by typing: AAA.com/Service into your browser (and bookmark it for future use!). Or by using our free mobile app. You can also contact our call center at (800) 222-4357 to speak to a representative. 

How many roadside service events do I receive each year? +

Each cardholder is permitted up to four Roadside Assistance calls per Membership year. AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier RV memberships provide towing and winching for eligible trailers, motorhomes, and pickup trucks with campers to a licensed repair shop or the home address on file. For these vehicles, AAA will pay up to $500.00 per call with a maximum of $1000.00 total per household over the course of the membership year.

If I paid to have my car towed, will AAA reimburse me? +

If service is not available through AAA, and the member has followed the guidelines on the terms and conditions page, the member may obtain service from a licensed emergency roadside service or tow provider, pay for it, and submit a legible copy of their receipt showing proof of payment and a breakdown of charges. Submissions must be sent within 120 days from the date of service for reimbursement consideration. Receipts must be in the AAA member’s name.

 

AAA will reimburse the member up to $500.00 for the cost of eligible emergency roadside services. If AAA ERS is available but is not requested or utilized through AAA and the procedures outlined in the terms and conditions, reimbursement will be subject to the prevailing contracted rate that AAA pays to its service providers.

 

Reimbursements can be submitted by email to Reimbursement@aaawa.com. Please, mark out any payment information such as credit card info, and submit your legible, itemized receipt and a completed Service Reimbursement Form using the above guidelines for consideration.
