AAA’s How to Drive online driving course is approved by the state of Idaho to replace the 30 hour classroom instruction requirement for the public school and commercial driver training programs. Teens under 17 years of age without an Idaho driver's license must successfully complete an approved driver training course and comply with state’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Program. Idaho allows parents to choose between a public school or commercial driving program for their teens, using either traditional or online driver training for classroom instruction.
