The AAA School Safety Patrol program began in 1920 to help keep students safe as they traveled to and from school. Over the past 100 years, it has grown into one of the nation’s largest and most respected safety programs. Today, patrollers continue to play an important role at schools by modeling responsibility, leadership, and care for others.
Serving as a School Safety Patroller helps students build confidence, develop communication and teamwork skills, and learn the value of helping their community. The program not only makes schools safer, it helps prepare young leaders for life.
