Car Care Tips
 
  1. Test your battery before colder temperatures arrive. If your battery is weak, schedule a AAA Mobile Battery Test and Replacement. 

  2. Take advantage of seasonal inspections during oil changes or routine maintenance to identify potential issues before they become expensive repairs. 

  3. Stay alert for unusual sounds, warning lights, smells, or fluid leaks. 

  4. Check for recalls using your VIN through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall lookup tool. 

  5. Perform monthly maintenance checks, including tire pressure, tire tread, oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid, and wiper blades. 

  6. Take advantage of the NAPA discount available to AAA members, to save on auto parts and accessories while preparing your vehicle for winter. 
Free Inspection FAQs

Visual inspection on horn, wipers, mirrors, air filter, belts, hoses, lights (headlights, brake lights, turn signals, license plate lights), fluids (engine oil, power steering fluid, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid), and battery (cleanliness/charge). Cost of diagnostic/repair on vehicle not included.

Inspections typically last about one hour. 

Once your appointment is made, you simply need to show up on time and present your active AAA membership card (physical or digital) when checking in. If you're waiting to recieve your physical card, please log in, visit My Account, and add your digital AAA Membership card to your wallet.

The technician will review the results of your inspection with you and make recommendations regarding systems/components that may need service or replacement. There is no obligation to have recommended services performed.

One free visual inspection per AAA member (Primary or Household Member; Everyday members excluded).  This is a “no tools/no lift” visual-only inspection; cost of repairs not included; components/systems that are not visible without use of tools/lift may not be inspected. Not all shops are able to inspect all vehicles; please verify with your selected shop that they can service your model of vehicle. 

*Restrictions: Free visual inspections are available to AAA members only, by appointment only. Limit one inspection per member. Everyday membership excluded. Participating shops may limit inspections based on the vehicle makes and models they specialize in.
