Allianz Driving Trip Interruption Protection
Member Level: Premier
Get reimbursed if your road trip is delayed due to a covered accident, illness, a disabled vehicle, and more. Receive up to $1,500 for out-of-pocket expenses including meals, accommodations, and substitute transportation.
How to Use This Benefit
Gather Receipts
Have receipts handy for all expenses incurred. (Only expenses incurred within the first 96 hours from the initial interruption of the Eligible Trip are covered.)
Contact Allianz
Contact Allianz Partners at 800-992-9309; they will help set up your claim and send a form.
Fill Out & Return Form
Return the claim form and receipts to Allianz Partners within 90 days of the driving incident.
Receive Reimbursement
Allianz Partners processing may take up to 60 days upon receiving all required materials. A check will be mailed directly to you.
This benefit applies to road trips 100+ miles from home. If such a trip is delayed by one or more nights due to an accident, mechanical breakdown, car theft, unexpected illness/injury, natural disasters or severe weather, a member may be reimbursed up to $1,500 for out-of-pocket expenses incurred because of the covered interruption.
Allianz Driving Trip Interruption protection is only available to AAA Premier members. You may upgrade to Premier via your online account, however you must do so 5+ days before leaving for your road trip for coverage to take effect.
Allianz Driving Trip Interruption protection is provided to AAA Premier members specifically for road trips of 100+ miles from home; Allianz Trip Insurance is available for members to purchase, per vacation, and can provide reimbursement for cancellations, interruptions, emergency medical expenses, and lost or delayed baggage. Trip Insurance also includes 24/7 travel assistance, such as help with medical emergencies or travel changes. Trip Insurance can be purchased online or through a AAA Travel Advisor.
To file a claim, get support or ask questions regarding this benefit, please contact Allianz Partners directly at 800-992-9309. AAA employees are not authorized to speak on behalf of Allianz in regard to this benefit.
All claims must be filed within 30 days of the incident and fully processed within 90 days. Your specific reimbursement will be determined by Allianz while reviewing your claim. Your reimbursement will not exceed $1,500. AAA Washington does not directly provide reimbursement for Trip Interruption benefits and cannot override, change or be liable for decisions made by Allianz Partners regarding coverage and claim outcome.
Terms and Conditions:
Only AAA Premier and AAA Premier RV members are eligible to receive Travel Insurance benefits and assistance coverage which can include reimbursement costs for rental vehicles, lodging, food, etc., that may be incurred during a covered ERS disablement. Insurance coverage is underwritten by BCS Insurance Company under a Form No. Policy 53.203 (0115). Allianz Partners is the licensed producer and administrator for this plan.
